Have you ever wondered what the difference is between brown eggs or white eggs?
You might be surprised, but not much…at least not nutritionally!
The color of the egg depends on the breed of the hen that lays it. Brown eggs sometimes are more expensive than their white counterparts, only because the cost of raising those breeds of hen tend to be higher. Otherwise, there really isn’t a significant difference between the two kinds!

I think everyone should buy what they like! Even the “fancy” ones are an inexpensive source of protein. My husband and I have had mixed results with backyard eggs. Therefore, I rarely buy those unless I know the farmer and happen to be in a place that is selling eggs from those particular farms.
My favorites are from Grazing Fields, run by a local egg co-op. They tend to be fresher. I don’t care about shell color, or how dark the yolks are, for that matter. When money is tight, though, conventional eggs from Aldi (produced by Vande Bunte) are just fine. I’m grateful to have choices.

Agree! We actually had a nasty experience while making cookies one day with eggs from a neighbor…that were a little more developed than I prefer. Needless to say, I try to stick to store bought eggs, though I appreciate that people want to try it themselves!
