I’m so excited to share that I was elected to serve on the State Bar of Michigan Agricultural Law Section Council!
I attended SBM’s annual meeting this week, where the ag law section held its annual meeting. Based on the recommendation of the nominating committee, I was elected to serve on the council for a three-year term.
If you follow my work, you may remember that I started a new adventure this year. I moved to a new law firm and I’m hoping to develop an ag law practice here in northern Indiana.ย It’s so refreshing to work for a law firm that supports my interests and passions. And now I’ve been blessed with this amazing opportunity as well.
By the way, the section meeting also included a really good presentation by the National Agriculture Law Center. It covered some of the things I’ve written about, like the Monsanto jury verdict. And the presenters also discussed some issues that even I wasn’t aware of.ย Honestly, it was all a little bit scary. Farmers are facing so many challenges right now. But that doesn’t usually account for the legal battles looming.
I so look forward to growing my involvement in this area of the law, and working with more experienced attorneys.

Congratulations!!!
Congratulations! Your parents must be so proud!
Congrats Amanda!
Congrats, I know that you will make a positive contribution.
