The kids at Calabash Elementary School in Woodland Hills, California were supposed to have a day filled with educational materials about dairy farming –including a visit from a calf born at a local farm. Unfortunately, PETA managed to ruin that.
No one at the school, or the District knew that animal activists would give children a comic book containing graphic images inserted of cows with a sore; an infection; chained and covered with fecal matter. The pictures are inappropriate for elementary students.
“Principal Esther Gillis would never have authorized the distribution of those pictures or the message that milk is unhealthy. L.A. Unified is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment at our schools.
Here is a good rule of thumb: Don’t invite PETA to your school and certainly don’t let them hand out “educational” materials to the kids.

If this school truly wanted children to learn about dairy farming…why on earth wouldn't they invite a dairy FARMER? Why invite an animal activist group?

I think they did have a farmer at the school, but they wanted to bring in PETA for "balance." I don't think a group that engages in eco-terrorism is really BALANCE…

Yes, this kind of thing is over the top! Thanks for posting Farmers Daughter! I enjoy following your posts, though I do not agree with some of what you post. Violence and cleverness on the part of PETA with such actions as the above should not be tolerated. Thanks for getting the word out. Just because someone does or doesn't approve of GMO's, or the like, PETA says EVERYTHING is wrong no matter what.

PETA have no shame when it comes to pushing their agenda. They are a self-serving organisation with no morals.
