What My Dad Wears

October 23, 2015

There has been a graphic going around on Facebook recently that a couple people have pointed out to me. I had to respond because, quite frankly, I thought it was the most ridiculous thing. While it is true that my dad wears goggles and gloves while mixing chemicals, he doesn’t wear that when applying those chemicals. And he has never, ever donned a hazmat suit…even when holding our GMO corn.

As part of my history of arguing about Agricultural chemicals and g.e. safety. I am beginning to learn how to apply “anti’s-logic” As an example of which. Your Dad’s photos clearly show that the indiscriminate drenching of fields and crops with synthetic chemicals has caused him to age significantly and prematurely as a prelude to the cancer that is surely coming. How’d I do?

The “moon suit” may be worn in the field when making pollinations using mutagenic chemicals. This is a legitimate breeding practice and falls under the umbrella of conventional breeding techniques.
