Weather Channel Video Highlights Farm Bill Expiration Impact

October 4, 2012

The Weather Channel has a pretty good video about the impact of the Farm Bill expiring. Definitely a resource to help explain the problems this could cause.

There are also reports that the price of milk could go up to $6 by January. The government has kept prices of milk and butter artificially low since about the 1940’s through legislation. Without that the price will be tied back to the market. Trust me, with as much milk as my family drinks, this is definitely a problem! Of course, none of this takes into account the increase in prices that may result from the drought yet.
