“Why are you dividing agriculture?”
If only I had a dollar for every time someone said that to me. Because apparently by telling the truth and correcting misinformation I’m a divider. Because we should just let marketers and charlatans say whatever they want, tear down our products, and use fear to make a few bucks. That doesn’t seem right to me though. So I’m not going to apologize for telling the truth.
I’m also insanely proud of what we do on our conventional farms. The amount of food we produce, the increasing efficiency and innovation we accomplish, and the quality we manage. And no one is really telling that story. So I’m always going to take an opportunity to tell it.
Maybe that’s offensive to you. That’s okay. Maybe you think I’m dividing agriculture. That’s okay. Maybe you like to buy organic for legitimate reasons. That’s okay. Maybe you want people to think conventional farmers are destroying the environment and poisoning people. That’s definitely not okay.
I wish this wasn’t the reality that we live in. I wish everyone could just buy their food, enjoy it, and not use these tactics. But it isn’t. And as long as the current situation persists, so will I.
Sorry, not sorry.
