One Day to Go!

November 5, 2012

Tomorrow is Election Day (duh)!

I just want to remind folks the importance of rural people showing up the polls to vote. When we drive into the nearest town or city, our influence on elections might seem incredibly small. There are certainly a lot more people living there than here.

But, have you taken a look at the polls recently? Most of the battleground states are in a literal tie. A lot of ballot proposals are in a close race. Our votes do make a difference. And if we want our elected officials to listen to us and take us seriously, we have to turn up.

If you haven’t taken time to look at state and local races in your area, you can find your state on AFBF’s map and I guarantee they will give you some information on farmer friendly candidates and ballot proposals. Of course I have also posted information on various ballot proposals and the presidential election. Check them out.

Then go out and vote tomorrow.

Remember, rural votes matter!
