HSUS President Falls Short on Tyson Bid

January 4, 2013

Remember how the President of HSUS, Wayne Pacelle, wanted to be on the board of directors for Tyson?

It seems Wayne has decided to face reality and drop his bid. Its really no surprise; given HSUS’s attack on animal agriculture and US farmers, the whole thing was a sham. Wayne was just trying to garner media attention.

Besides, the man doesn’t even consume Tyson products. How can he be expected to represent the shareholders?

Thankfully, the good people over at Tyson didn’t decide to open negotiations with HSUS after this stunt. Rather, a Tyson spokesman said,:

“The nomination had zero effect on the company.”

Good. Let’s hope Tyson continues to side with common sense, science, and American farmers.
