It’s always sad when there is a natural disaster, especially when you know that the animals in the region probably weren’t given the protection and shelter necessary to save them.
Georgia’s Department of Agriculture has created a new facility to house animals in the case of emergency, including dogs, cats, horses, and any farm animals. The awesome thing is that it can house animals from across the region, not just those in the state. So the next time a disaster strikes there will be a facility available for those animals that might otherwise just get stranded.
