The FDA wants to Feed Your Mind….about biotechnology!
The FDA collaborated with USDA and EPA to create a consumer-friendly website to explain genetically modified organisms. It includes fact sheets, videos, and graphics that feature plain language to describe the scientific processes.
This is an excellent initiative! It’s easy, accessible, and factual. It’s also the federal government’s strongest statement yet on the safety of bioengineered foods. And I love that it’s a collaboration of FDA, USDA, and EPA.
I only wish, wish, wish they did it sooner. Like 20 years sooner. Heck, a decade sooner. A strong statement from these three would have been so helpful. But I admit, hindsight it 20/20.
Nonetheless, I hope you’ll help share the website and spread awareness. I’m glad this resource finally exists!
