Farm Living: Knee High by the Fourth of July?

July 3, 2015

You’ve probably heard the old adage that corn should be “knee high by the Fourth of July.” In reality, our field corn is usually well past our knees come July 4th! As you can see by the picture, our corn is about waist high this year, though it varies vastly from one field to the next. Waist high is also a bit short for this time of the year, but given the wet and cold conditions we’ve had, we’ll take it!
