I recently shared with my followers that I have cancer. I revealed my fear that some activists would try to use that diagnosis as a weapon against me. Specifically, my message is that we shouldn’t be worried about our food and we don’t need to buy expensive labels. But was that message still relevant after cancer?
I immediately thought I should schedule a video chat with Danielle Penick, RD of Survivor’s Table. Danielle and I spoke previously about nutrition after I was free-from disease in 2017. So it made sense to talk to her again. I wanted to know whether there was any evidence that those labels were better for you. And what things should cancer patients actually focus on?
