I was sent this graphic by the Ireland Farmer’s Journal. It shows some trends and averages when it comes to land prices in selected countries around the world. I was a bit shocked to see that the average value of an acre of land is just over $2,000 per acre. In recent years around our area, it has been about $5,000 per acre. As the graphic depicts though, the value of the land changes considerably depending on what crops are being grown on it.
